Experience

I am a qualified Person-Centred counsellor specialised in working with children, young people and parents. I hold a degree in Advice, Guidance, and Counselling, a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and additional qualifications in counselling for children and grief support. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

My professional background includes working in children’s care homes, secondary schools with students and teachers, sixth forms, and various charities, as well as providing online counselling to adults across the UK. I have worked with individuals facing issues such as anxiety, low self-confidence, relationship difficulties, self-harm, bereavement, and trauma.I’ve also supported people with mental health and neurodiversity-related experiences such as OCD, ADHD, Autism, eating disorders, and more.

I understand how difficult and overwhelming it can feel to experience low moods, anxiety, or a sense of not being yourself, especially when you don’t fully understand why. It can also be incredibly challenging to navigate tough times without the right support. I am passionate about understanding people and helping them understand themselves. Sometimes, this is achieved by providing the right environment where they feel safe enough to explore what’s really going on for them, allowing them to release and process emotions and experiences. At other times, it’s through psychoeducation, such as learning about anxiety and ways to help calm it.

My aim is to create a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their concerns, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and work towards meaningful change.

Online Counselling York

Online Counselling

Person-centred counselling focuses on creating a safe, friendly space where you can chat openly about your feelings and experiences. The counsellor is there to listen and support you, helping you figure things out in your own way. This approach encourages you to discover your own solutions and understand yourself better, all while having a genuine connection with someone who cares. Benefits can include emotional release, self-awareness, clarity and more...

Online counselling is convenient and accessible, letting people get support from home without travel issues. To fully benefit from the experience, it's recommended to find a completely private space for your sessions.

Support groups and events York

Groups and Events

Support groups for people facing the same challenges provide a safe space to share experiences and feelings. They create a sense of community, helping individuals realise they're not alone in their struggles. People can exchange advice, coping strategies, and encouragement, which can boost emotional well-being and resilience. Our events will give people a chance to learn new skills, practice self-care, and meet others with similar interests.
